Motorcycle Crash Claims Nampa Man on Idaho 75 KETCHUM, Idaho (KLIX)-A Nampa man died from his injures in a motorcycle crash in the Sawtooth Valley Tuesday afternoon. According to the Blaine County Sheriff s Office, 51-year-old Todd Fowler was riding a 2002 Honda motorcycle at around 7:32 p.m. when he lost control on a turn near the Smiley Creek Store, went off the pavement and crashed in the sagebrush. Rock Slide Blocks Trail Creek Summit Road Near Sun Valley SUN VALLEY, Idaho (KLIX)-A rock slide and muddy conditions have blocked off a Blaine County road east of Sun Valley. According to the Blaine County Sheriff s Office, rock, debris and mud has made the Trail Creek Summit inaccessible to all travel on both sides. The Blaine County Road and Bridge is working on the roadway. A Flood Advisory was issued by the U.S. National Weather Service-Pocatello for central Blaine County earlier in the day. Heavy rains were expected in the area until at least 6 p.m. Some areas to the south could experience flooding.

Van Catches Fire After Hitting Deer South of Bellevue BELLEVUE, Idaho (KLIX)-A van was destroyed by fire after it hit a deer on Idaho Highway 75 south of Bellevue Tuesday night. According to the Blaine County Sheriff s Office, the accident happened at around 10:23 p.m. about a mile north of the U.S. Highway 20 and Idaho 75 junction. Howard Wong, 59, had been headed north on Idaho 75 in a 1999 Volkswagen Eurovan when he hit a deer that ran across the highway. The impact caused the van to catch fire. Blaine County Sheriff s Office Wong, of Bellevue, Washington and his passenger were able to get out with minor injuries. According to Wood River Fire and Rescue the fire spread to a nearby field. The van was destroyed by the fire. The highway had to be closed for a short time. The deer ran away from the scene.
