Nafiz Modack conspired with Zane Kilian to murder promi

Nafiz Modack will also face charges related to an attempted hand grenade attack at the house of Anti-Gang Unit Lieutenant-General Charl Kinnear in November 2019. The growing case against Modack, 30, was revealed on Monday, 3 May 2021, in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court where the “businessman” appeared alongside co-accused Jacques Cronje, 50, and Ricardo Morgan, 36.  Police Minister Bheki Cele along with acting Western Cape police commissioner Patekile Thembisile and Major-General Jeremy Vearey, also attended the proceedings. The trio faces charges of intimidation, kidnapping, extortion, money laundering and contravention of the Electronic Communications Act. Modack is also facing charges relating to the attempted murder of prominent lawyer William Booth in April 2020.

Community structures have now urgently rallied to set-up meetings and petition against the accused being granted bail when he is expected back in court again next week. Cape Town parents appear on charges of killing 8-month-old baby

News24 Eight-month-old Levi Isaacs died after he sustained severe injuries, in what is alleged to have been ongoing abuse. Ricardo and Kathleen Isaacs, 32 and 31 respectively, were supposed to proceed with a formal bail hearing, but it was postponed to next month. National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila told News24: The case has been postponed to 11 March for Ricardo to find an attorney, He had a Legal Aid lawyer, but he has now indicated that he wants a private lawyer.

Kinnear s official police phone was also pinged, court hears in Kilian bail application

Jaco Marais So-called private investigator Zane Kilian allegedly had so much personal information on murdered Anti-Gang Unit member Charl Kinnear that he even knew details of the detective s bond. The State alleged during his bail application that not only was Kinnear and lawyer William Booth tracked, but their wives and security company players were also targeted for either pinging or having their personal details trawled. Kilian claims he only worked for a mystery Mr X who needed to know when the police were coming to his house.  On the day the Hawks descended on Zane Kilian s house in Springs in the course of the investigation into Anti-Gang Unit detective Charl Kinnear s murder, he allegedly made a hurried phone call.
