Nitish welcomes balanced Union Budget

Patna, Feb 1 : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has welcomed the Union Budget presented on Monday by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, describing it as a balanced Budget.
Nitish reacted to the Union Budget saying, Despite the Covid epidemic and problems in revenue collection, a balanced Budget was presented by the central government. It is welcome. I congratulate the central government for presenting a balanced Budget.
The Bihar Chief Minister further said that a budget of Rs 34.8 lakh crore has been presented for 2021-22, which is more than the estimated budgetary expenditure of Rs 30.42 lakh crore for the year 2020-21.

PATNA: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday hailed the Union budget by terming it balanced and lauded the decisions on schemes such as renewable sources of energy, the Ujjwala and the tax relief to pensioners above 75.
In his response after the budget, Nitish Kumar said that despite the Covid pandemic and the consequent difficulties, the Union Government has presented a balanced budget. “The budget is worth welcome and I congratulate the central government for presenting a balanced budget of Rs 34.8 lakh crore for 2021-22, which is more than the projected budgetary expenditure of the previous year.

Guwahati/Agartala, Jan 31 : After Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, the state-owned Oil India Limited (OIL) has ventured out to the fourth northeastern state of Tripura, aspiring to explore natural gas by conducting a seismic survey.
OIL, India s second largest national Navratna company after ONGC, in terms of total proved plus probable oil and natural gas reserves, has kickstarted its exploration and production operations by launching its first ever seismic survey in southern Tripura bordering Bangladesh.
OIL Deputy General Manager (CC) Tridiv Hazarika said that currently the company has explored huge oil and gas reserves in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh while engaged in exploration works in Mizoram.

The opposition at least accepted the human chain concept: Nitish
Patna, Jan 30 (UNI) Reacting over the formation of human chain by Rashtriya Janata Dal ( RJD ) led Grand Alliance in support of the farmer s agitation against the agrarian laws, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday said that the opposition has at least accepted the concept of human chain formation.
While talking to news persons after an official function Mr Kumar said here on Saturday that the idea of creating human chains to spread awareness among the common people about social issues was initiated by him which has now been accepted and being followed by the opposition as well.
