SEMINOLE, FL Freedom Square of Seminole s Scholarship Fund has helped hundreds of Freedom Square employees further their education since it began in 1999. In the last three years alone, the fund has awarded 76 financial aid packages to team members who are also students attending 14 different local colleges and universities.
Four members of the Freedom Square Scholarship Fund Board of Directors, Stuart Stauss, Tom Dolin, Patricia Lengell, Sandy Klockenthoer, visited Jersey College School of Nursing where some scholarship recipients study. They toured the campus, classrooms, and learning laboratories located at Largo Medical Center with Dana Bemis, Career Services Director. Classes at Jersey College of Nursing are conducted year-round, with school

The State of Florida Issues Tropical Storm Elsa Updates
Governor Ron DeSantis is in constant communication with Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) Director Kevin Guthrie as the State of Florida continues to monitor and respond to the threat of Tropical Storm Elsa.
Governor DeSantis issued Executive Order 21-151, expanding the State of Emergency for Tropical Storm Elsa. The State of Emergency now includes the following counties: Alachua, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Columbia, Dixie, Franklin, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Hillsborough, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Marion, Monroe, Pasco, Pinellas, Sarasota, Sumter, Suwanee, Taylor and Wakulla counties. DeSoto, Hardee and Miami-Dade counties are no longer under a State of Emergency due to the changed projected path of Tropical Storm Elsa.
