Libya’s Minister of Finance, Khaled Mabrouk, and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Imran Al-Geeb, met Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Personal Envoy of President Putin for the Middle East and North Africa on the side-lines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, Russia yesterday.
The Libyan Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reported that the meeting discussed:
Granting Libya a number of chairs in Russian universities, especially in the field of ophthalmology and orthopaedics, as Russia is one of the leading countries in this field.
Training Libyan elements in the advanced Russian centres, especially in the fields of ophthalmology and orthopaedics.

Armenia s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is warning of a coup after the army issued a scathing statement faulting his leadership and demanding he step down following a conflict last year with Azerbaijan that resulted in a significant loss of territory claimed by ethnic Armenians. The prime minister and the government are no longer able to make reasonable decisions in this critical and fatal situation for the Armenian people. Due to the current situation, the Armenian armed forces demand the resignation of the prime minister and the government, the army said in a statement Thursday carried by Russia s TASS news agency.
