ASHWAUBENON - Sun Country Airlines will add non-stop flights from Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport to cities in Arizona and Florida by the end of 2021.
Sun Country s website on Tuesday morning included flights from Green Bay to Fort Myers, Fla., and to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, in Arizona. It indicates flights to Fort Myers will begin Dec. 16 and flights to Phoenix on Dec. 17.
Twin Cities-based Sun Country indicates flights to Fort Myers will leave Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Flights to Phoenix are scheduled to depart Green Bay on Friday and Monday afternoons.

Travelers will have another option from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport when Minneapolis-based Sun Country Airlines launches service from the East Valley in November.
The airline said it will offer flights between the east Mesa airport and Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport starting Nov. 24. Tickets are on sale now at suncountry.com with introductory fares starting at $79 one way.
The route will operate four times weekly, departing Mesa on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
“With more and more people excited to resume traveling, we’re excited to be able to offer them another option to get away this winter to enjoy the Valley of the Sun,” Grant Whitney, Sun Country s chief revenue officer, said in a press release.
Sun Country Airlines said Tuesday that it is adding new, nonstop service from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport to five destinations beginning Aug. 26.
The cities where Sun Country is adding service from Milwaukee include Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Fort Myers, Florida and Cancun, Mexico. From Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport, Sun Country will offer the only scheduled nonstop service to Cancun International Airport, Sun Country said in a statement.
The airline will face multiple competitors on the Las Vegas, Fort Myers and Phoenix service. It will compete with Delta Air Lines on the Minneapolis service.
