TUCSON (KVOA) - The Distracted Driving law went into effect last spring with law enforcement giving drivers warnings if they were on their cell phones talking or texting. When people get pulled over for distracted driving, besides the ticket, they also get a brochure that says the law is in effect and reminds the driver to keep their hands off the phone when they are behind the wheel. (KOLD News 13) - The Pima County Attorney’s Office will remain closed through Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, due to a COVID-19 outbreak among staff. The office has been closed since Monday, Jan. 11, as crews clean and sanitize the building, according to a news release from the attorney’s office. A small number of staff members will continue to work at the office headquarters in downtown Tucson, however, 377 other workers will work from home until the office reopens.
