1 person hospitalized, another in custody after Brooklyn Park stabbing
An investigation is underway.
Police in Brooklyn Park are investigating an altercation that led to a stabbing over the weekend.
It happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturday on the 5800 block of 73rd Ave N, a residential area of mostly apartments.
The victim was taken to the hospital, and though the extent of their injuries was not specified, they are expected to survive. At this time one individual is in custody in reference to this incident and further investigation is underway, the alert says.
No other details about the stabbing were released, and neither the victim nor the suspect has been identified yet.

Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in Brooklyn Park.
Officers were called to the 3800 block of 83rd Avenue North at 7:23 p.m. Saturday on a report of a shooting.
When they arrived, two adults were called out of the home and detained. Officers entered and found another adult dead from an apparent gun shot wound.
As the investigation unfolded, it appeared that the suspect in the shooting was one of the two people police had detained.
This person was arrested, with a gun recovered.
