Mother Charged With Shooting and Killing Her Two Daughters at Pennsylvania Home, Police Say

A mother has been charged with shooting dead her two daughters at a home in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, according to police.
Ambridge Police told WPXI News the shooting happened at a home in Maplewood Avenue around 1.30 p.m. on Monday. Inside, officers found the bodies of the two victims who were later identified as Kiara Bright, 16, and 22-year-old Jasmine Cannady.
Interim Chief John DeLuca told the Pittsburgh-based news station that their mother, Krisinda Bright, 48, had been arrested in relation to the shooting and was the one who reported the killings when she called 911.

The 23-year-old Black man filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday, alleging that a White police officer from Raccoon Township about 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh pointed a gun at him from a moving unmarked police car before punching him in the face at least twice and later firing that gun into the ground a few inches from his back. Willis was released without being charged after being held in custody for several hours during the January 3 incident, according to the lawsuit.
