Lawsuit against Vail Resorts alleges federal, state labor law violations

Vail Daily News A lawsuit filed against Vail Resorts on behalf of three employees is seeking class action status and alleges the company has repeatedly violated federal labor laws as well as state labor laws in Colorado, California, Utah, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Washington, New York, Vermont and Michigan. Vail, Beaver Creek lifts will open at 8:30 starting Saturday morning

The ropes drop for the day at Beaver Creek’s Centennial Express Lift on Friday morning. Starting Saturday, skiers and snowboarders will be able to start uploading both Vail and Beaver Creek at 8:30 a.m., a half-hour earlier than the early-season opening time of 9 a.m. (Ross Leonhart Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek Resort announced that starting Saturday, skiers and snowboarders can start uploading at 8:30 a.m., a 30-minute addition to the daily operating hours. Skiers and snowboarders must wear a mask when on the mountain, with face coverings following CDC guidelines. People are also asked to maintain 6 feet of distance and to stay home if they are sick.
