BUENOS AIRES, Dec 23 (Reuters) - Argentina s 2020/21 soybean
planting area could turn out to be smaller than the projected
17.2 million hectares due to unusually dry weather, the Buenos
Aires Grains Exchange said in its weekly crop report on
Wednesday.
Argentina is the world s top supplier of soymeal livestock
feed used to fatten hogs, cattle and poultry from Europe to
Southeast Asia. It is also a major exporter of corn, wheat and
soybeans. This year output of all three crops has been hurt by a
moderate episode of the La Nina climate phenomenon, which tends
to bring dryness to the South American country.

SYDNEY, Dec 22 (Reuters) - U.S. soybean futures rose for a
fourth consecutive session on Tuesday to hit a more than
six-year high as adverse weather in South America and a labour
strike stoked concerns about global supplies.
Corn rose, drawing support from the dry weather in key South
American producing regions, while wheat fell.
The most active soybean futures on the Chicago Board Of
Trade were up 0.4% at $12.52-1/4 a bushel by 0500 GMT,
hovering near their highest since June 2014 of $12.54 a bushel
hit earlier in the session. Soybeans firmed 1.9% on Monday. The market is weighing the supply picture as South America

than 0.5% on Monday as concerns about global supply shortage
pushed prices to a more than six-year high.
FUNDAMENTALS The most active soybean futures on the Chicago Board Of
Trade were up 0.6% to $12.27-1/4 a bushel by 0024 GMT,
near the session high of $12.32 a bushel - the highest since
June 2014. Soybeans had firmed more than 1.5% in the previous
session. The most active corn futures were up 0.5% to
$4.39-3/4, having gained 1.2% in the previous session. The most active wheat futures were up 0.2% at
$6.09-1/4 a bushel, having closed little changed in the previous

SYDNEY, Dec 21 (Reuters) - U.S. soybean futures scaled a
more than six-year high on Monday, underpinned by concerns about
production in South America.
Corn extended gains, while wheat edged higher.
The most-active soybean futures on the Chicago Board Of
Trade were up 0.6% at $12.27 a bushel by 0400 GMT, near
the session high of $12.32 a bushel - the highest since June
2014.
Soybeans had firmed more than 1.5% in the previous session. The supply picture has changed. The issues in South America
