The market value of Romanian companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) reached new records in April and surpassed 120 billion RON, after a growth of over 20% this year alone, according to a report from the BVB.
Capitalization of Romanian companies on the BVB main market thus passed the registered level prior to the pandemic outbreak of coronavirus. The market capital already offered a reply to the question on when is it best to list a company, and the answer is at any time because the company s value will be given transparently by supply and demand, and the market s mechanisms allow a constant reevaluation of any business. BUCHAREST (Romania), May 10 (SeeNews) - Romanian freight forwarder Transport Trade Services (TTS) Group said that it plans to hold an initial public offering (IPO) on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in late May, offering investors up to 50% of its existing shares.
The offering is subject to market conditions and the approval of the trading admission prospectus by Romania s Financial Supervisory Authority, TTS said in a statement on Friday.
The company plans to list its shares on the main regulated market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

BUCHAREST (Romania), May 6 (SeeNews) - Romanian concrete products maker Prebet [BSE:PREB] said plans to acquire a 5% stake in local investment platform ROCA Investments for 2.1 million euro ($2.53 million).
The decision was taken by Prebet s board of directors on April 4, the company said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange of Wednesday.

BUCHAREST (Romania), May 6 (SeeNews) - Nuclearelectrica [BSE:SNN], the operator of Romania s sole nuclear power plant (NPP) Cernavoda, said on Thursday that it will shut down one of the plant s two 700 MW units on Sunday, May 9, as part of a planned outage program.
During the planned outage, the unit will undergo preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections and mandatory testing, Nuclearelectrica said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The Cernavoda nuclear power plant, located in southeastern Romania, has two reactors of 700 megawatts each, which meet roughly a fifth of the country s electricity needs.
