Kāpiti Food Fair opened for
registration on 15 April and already 100+ sites have been
snapped up by familiar and new vendors wishing to be at the
Fair. “There is a lot going on behind the scenes in
preparation for the Fair that will take place on the Kāpiti
Coast on Saturday 4 December,” said Helene Judge, Co-owner
of the Kāpiti Food Fair.
Helene goes on to say,
“2020 was a challenging and exhausting year with so much
uncertainty with COVID Alert Levels. We can operate at Alert
Level 1 using the Event Sector Voluntary Code and we were

The Iron Horse in Miramar dives into the outrageous, sophisticated and wonderful adult world of burlesque with Burlesque Revue – featuring comedy, song, drag, tricks, and stunning costumes. “Venues are also major employers, hiring staff and paying for entertainers. When hospitality is doing well, we are all doing well,” she said. The festival aligned perfectly with the opening of the Trans-Tasman bubble, “the cherry on top”. “What a brilliant opportunity for our Aussie cousins to come and experience Wellington where we have more bars, cafes, and restaurants per capita than New York.” At last night’s festival launch held at the Wharewaka Function Centre, Rongotai MP Paul Eagle welcomed the collaboration of restaurants and the entertainment sector.

Offering 420 stalls and 15 stages for free, the 25th annual
Newtown Festival s adventurous lineup celebrated our live music community in a vast variety of forms and genres on Sunday, featuring artists from Pōneke and throughout Aotearoa. Any attempt at catching every live performance would be a fool s errand without a time machine and / or teleportation device, here s a run down of my personal journey at Newtown Festival 2021 including side quests, missed opportunities and happy accidents.
