Coronavirus: New cases in Borders shown on interactive map

Between February 6 and 12, the Borders recorded 32 cases – which is a seven-day case rate of 27.7 per 100,000 of the population. This is down from a rate of 51.9 per 100,000, based on the period from February 2-8. Public Health Scotland has also created an interactive map showing 30 neighbourhoods in the Borders. Coronavirus rate in Borders doubles within fortnight

THE coronavirus infection rate in the Borders has more than doubled within a fortnight, according to new figures. The latest data published by Public Health Scotland (PHS) today (December 14) shows that, between December 5 and December 11, the region recorded a rate of 75.3 new cases per 100,000 of the population. This marks a rise from the rate between November 25 and December 1, which was 32.9. Among the 30 Borders neighbourhoods shown on the PHS interactive map, the highest rates are in ‘Cheviot East’ and ‘Coldstream and Area’ – both have a rate of 200-399 per 100,000.
