INDIANAPOLIS â The findings of a nearly yearlong study into making Indiana teachersâ pay competitive with other states has been released, and one Southern Indiana school board member said she hopes itâs a document all educators can dive into.
The Next Level Teaching Compensation Commission, a 13-member committee formed by Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb last year to find recommendations before the 2021 legislative year, shows Indiana lagging behind in teacher salaries, which can affect the quality of education received.
