NEW ULM BoCo Real Estate and Oak Hills Living Center were named 2020 Small and Large Businesses of the Year by the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday.
Chamber members voted for the awards during a virtual annual chamber business meeting. Windings, Inc., and Bank Midwest were other Large Business of the Year nominations. Bailey Creek Boutique and the New Ulm Area Foundation were other Small Business of the Year nominations.
“We were very honored to have been nominated and recognize for the Business of the Year award. It’s very exciting for us. We’re very excited about what everyone has done,” said Oak Hills Administrator Candas Schouvieller.

NEW ULM New Ulm Area Foundation recently presented a grant of $2,500 to Turner Hall in support of their project to repair the roof above the gymnasium. Following some of the heavy rains in August and resultant flooding in the building, several tears in the roof were identified. Turner Hall applied for and received this grant to assist with the roofing repairs.
