Indigenous community confirmed that the remains of 215 children some as young as three years old had been found on the site of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School, both the harrowing legacy of the residential schools program and the ongoing legal battles over decades of inadequate support for First Nations children are poised to dominate the political agenda on Parliament Hill today, starting with a full day of debate on an omnibus opposition motion that issues a stark challenge to the minority Liberals to commit to “concrete actions for real reconciliation.”
