The
Government needs to work out urgently what’s happening
with Canterbury’s vaccine roll out, which is looking
increasingly shambolic and slow, National’s Covid-19
Response spokesperson Chris Bishop says.

DHB has only carried 5544 first Covid-19 vaccination doses,
well behind much small DHBs like Whanganui, Hawke’s Bay,
Northland and Southern.
“Even neighbouring DHB South
Canterbury, with a population of 62,000, has carried out
more Group 3 first dose vaccinations than Canterbury, with a
population of 578,000.

told by their DHB that it expects to be vaccinating Group 3

Today we accepted a petition from Lindsay Calvi-Freeman signed by nearly 15,000 people. The petition calls for the Government to reverse their decision to remove tax deductibility of interest for landlords, National’s Shadow Treasurer Andrew Bayly and Housing spokesperson Nicola Willis say.
“Labour are misrepresenting interest deductibility by calling it a ‘tax loophole’. They make it seem underhanded and that is not fair to the thousands and thousands of mum and dad landlords who are entitled to deduct their costs from their revenue,” Mr Bayly says.
