Do N J cops actually issue tickets to drivers who don t clean snow off their cars? We got the stats

Do N.J. cops actually issue tickets to drivers who don’t clean snow off their cars? We got the stats. Updated Feb 08, 2021; Everyone has seen a car or SUV on the road that has enough snow and ice on the roof to look like a rolling vanilla-layer cake, or a vehicle with a peephole carved out that’s just big enough to see through, after a storm. A law has been around for 10 years to convince inconsiderate drivers to clean off winter’s frosty deposits from their vehicles before hitting the road. But how many tickets actually get issued for people driving a car that looks like a leftover prop from “Frozen”? Data show the odds are pretty good they’ll just keep driving (until that glacier on the roof slips over the windshield) without getting a ticket.

Their effort comes as highway tolls have increased in recent months and as toll-road operators have indicated a desire to expand cashless tolling. Under current law, New Jersey’s E-ZPass system gives motorists the option of viewing a list of their latest toll transactions online. They can also receive monthly or bimonthly statements, via email or letter.

TOLL HIKE? Brace For Higher NJ Bridge Tolls Across Delaware River

1 Read / Add Comments Drivers who cross any of the eight Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission’s spans between New Jersey and Pennsylvania face two proposed toll increases this year and in 2024, authorities said. The need to hike state bridge tolls is being blamed on lost revenue during the coronavirus pandemic. The proposed increase, announced Monday, would be implemented on April 3, if approved by the board of commissioners at a March 29 meeting. The proposed hike comes just a month after the bridge commission approved a 2021 budget that state officials boasted had no toll hike. The 2021 proposed increase would affect the seven Commission toll bridges that accept E-Z Pass and cash toll payments The Trenton-Morrisville (Route 1), New Hope-Lambertville (Route 202), I-78, Easton-Phillipsburg (Route 22), Portland-Columbia (Routes 611, 46, and 94), Delaware Water Gap (I-80), and Milford-Montague (Route 206) bridges, officials said.
