CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. (FDP) on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $47.2 million.
On a per-share basis, the Coral Gables, Florida-based company said it had profit of 99 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 98 cents per share.
The food producer posted revenue of $1.14 billion in the period.
Del Monte shares have increased 30% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 35% in the last 12 months.

The company plans to offer 26 million shares priced at $20 to $23 each. At the top end of that range, the company would raise $598 million and it would be valued at $2.1 billion. Goldman Sachs & Co., Deutsche Bank and Davy are the lead underwriters in a syndicate of seven banks working on the deal. Dole Plc is the result of a merger of Dole Food Company and Ireland-based Total Produce, a process that began in 2018 when Total Produce took a 45% stake in Dole.
