Auglaize County Historical Society revives ‘4th Sundays’
Auglaize County Historical Society presents 4th Sunday: Varied hours and locations.
WAPAKONETA The Auglaize County Historical Society is bringing back its 4th Sunday open houses for 2021, beginning this Sunday, May 23.
Featured sites include the Wapakoneta Museum, 206 W. Main St., Wapakoneta; Mooney Museum, 223 S. Main St., St. Marys; Cridersville Historical Society, 111 W. Sugar St., Cridersville; New Bremen Historic Association’s Luelleman House, 120 N. Main St., New Bremen; Pape House, 236 N. Main St., New Bremen; New Knoxville Historical Society, 107 E. German St., New Knoxville; Unipolis Historical Society, E. Ohio St. (state Route 67), Uniopolis.
Fort Amanda on state Route 198 will be open from dusk until dawn. The Armstrong Air & Space Museum will also be open for normal Sunday hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Luelleman House and Pape House will be open from 1-3 p.m.

MARYS Midwest Electric recently donated $11,500 to 7 west-central
Ohio charities and community projects through the cooperative’s
Community Connection Fund.
Thanks to the 89% of members who round
up their electric bill and donate to this fund, Midwest Electric has
provided $1,182,914 to 984 local charitable causes since 1998.
The latest recipients of grants include: JTD Hospital Foundation, Auglaize County; $2,500 for iScreen Vision technology for pediatric vision screening Andrews House of Hope, Allen County; $2,000 for their faith-based recovery house for women New Knoxville Historical Society, Auglaize County; $2,000 to restore the exterior of their 1845 log cabin Family Care Options, Inc., Mercer County; $2,000 for a ceiling lift to move clients safely
