A Hartford Superior Court prosecutor this week dropped a charge that a Wethersfield man conspired in the Oct. 17 robbery of the Sunoco station at the Bloomfield Avenue exit from Interstate 91 in Windsor, according to the manâs lawyer, Matthew J. Costello.
But the man, Jimmy Lee Mangini, 38, remains in jail, held in lieu of a $1,000 bond while facing a probation violation charge in New Britain Superior Court.
Mangini was the backseat passenger in a car that state police stopped on an Interstate 84 exit ramp after a witness followed it from the area of the robbery, talking with a 911 dispatcher by cellphone as he did so.
