Cloer is the former assistant superintendent of the Bloomfield School District and retired director of the New Mexico Highlands University center at San Juan College.
Her late husband Harold was one of the founders of the West Hammond Domestic Water Cooperative Association District.
Her new booklet Water, Water Everywhere and Not a Drop to Drink covers the history of the organization.
FARMINGTON The act of poring over 50-year-old minutes from meetings of a fledgling domestic water cooperative might not seem like the most exciting way to spend your time.

The 3-D web app model created by a team of Highlands media arts faculty is called ButtARfly because it uses augmented reality. Only seven projects in the U.S. were honored in the Activating Smithsonian Open Access Challenge.
Sherri Burr
Sherri Burr is the recipient of New Mexico Press Women’s 2021 Communicator of Achievement Award. The award recognizes members who have distinguished themselves within and beyond their profession. Recipients are living members in good standing for at least two years in New Mexico Press Women and the National Federation of Press Women. Burr was elected president of NMPW in 2018. She has been a law professor for more than 30 years, worked as a columnist for The Albuquerque Tribune and is the author of multiple books.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Ryan and Cody Dudgeon both grew up in northwest New Mexico. Both left for greener pastures in Missoula, Montana.
But after working as river guides in Montana and Idaho for 14 years, the married couple came to see the rivers that flowed through their New Mexico homes differently.
They moved back to Farmington in 2015 and are planning to start leading river-rafting expeditions on the Animas and San Juan rivers in May through their new company, Desert River Guides.
