ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Some taxpayers who qualify for the New Mexico Working Families Tax Credit will also be eligible for the extra $600 Personal Income Tax rebate that recently became law.
The rebates are available to taxpayers who are not dependents, who receive the Working Families Tax Credit and who meet state-designated income levels, according to a news release from the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department.
Single filers must have an adjusted gross income of $31,200, while those filing jointly must make less than $39,000.
Taxpayers who have already filed their 2020 New Mexico Personal Income Tax returns and are eligible for the $600 rebate do not need to take further action. The rebate will be mailed to them or delivered by direct deposit if they selected that option when they filed, according to the release.
