Lower Open Predicted For China Stock Market BEIJING (dpa-AFX) - The China stock market bounced higher again on Thursday, one session after ending the two-day winning streak in which it had gathered more than 40 points or 1.2 percent. The Shanghai Composite Index now rests just beneath the 3,565-point plateau although it s likely to open under pressure again on Friday. The global forecast for the Asian markets is soft on sinking crude oil prices and renewed Covid-19 concerns. The European markets were down and the U.S. bourses were mixed and the Asian markets figure to split the difference. The SCI finished sharply higher on Thursday following gains from the financial shares and resource stocks, while the oil companies were soft and the properties were mixed.
