The lawsuit vs. the telecom company
To be more specific, based on the documents filed at the New York Southern District Court, the case against AT&T Inc is about the Network Apps and other plaintiffs’ claims of patent infringement and breach of contract.
Reuters reported that the plaintiffs sued AT&T for at least $1.35 billion and claiming that the telecom giant ripped them off by stealing Network Apps’ patented “twinning” technology. This is something that allows various types of devices to respond to calls placed on a single phone number. In simpler terms, this technology can re-route calls to multiple devices.

DALLAS (dpa-AFX) - AT&T Inc. has been sued by Network Apps LLC for allegedly stealing patented twinning technology.
The Seattle-based apps developer filed a complaint in New York Southern District Court against the telecommunications giant for breach-of-contract and patent infringement claims.
Reuters reported that Network Apps seeks $1.35 billion in damages, including royalties.
Network Apps twinning technology allows smart devices including watches and tablets to respond to calls placed to a single phone number.
The suit is against AT&T s NumberSync that lets consumers sync wireless number with compatible mobile devices.

The New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) has given Japanese tech giant GMO Internet the green light to issue two stablecoins a dollar-pegged coin (ZUSD) and a yen-pegged coin (GYEN).
GYEN is the first non-USD stablecoin approved by the NYDFS. Both GYEN and ZUSD will be issued by GMO-Z.com Trust Company, a limited liability trust company that has been granted a charter by the NYDFS.
GMO said to win approval for the trust, it had to meet stringent requirements for cybersecurity programs, as well as federal standards for anti-money laundering and economic sanctions. The stablecoins are expected to launch next month and will be powered by Ethereum.
The plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against Tron, alleging irregularities and violation during TRX ICOs.
Tron said the plaintiffs filed the case two years after the ICO ended and they did not participate.
Tron’s motion also alleges that the plaintiff bought the TRX token via a secondary exchange.
The Tron Foundation has filed a motion, asking the New York federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit from plaintiffs who alleged violations during the company’s $70 million ICO in 2017.
According to the Tron Foundation, the allegation cited in the class action lawsuit is “fatally flawed.”
