ALBANY Solar power installed across New York state has reached a combined capacity of 3 gigawatts.
The state announced the milestone Tuesday, and said that 2.7-gigawatts of additional solar capacity is under development. Combined, this will bring the state close to the 6-gigawatt goal set for 2025 by the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act and pressed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has made green energy a priority.
