Weinstein extradition hearing adjourned until April
Friday s extradition proceeding was rescheduled to April 9. It s the second delay in proceedings originally scheduled for August.

BUFFALO, N.Y. Imprisoned former movie producer Harvey Weinstein appeared briefly before a Buffalo, New York, judge via video as part of efforts to send him to California to face sexual assault charges.
Weinstein, who was dressed in a maroon shirt and white mask, appeared remotely from Wende Correctional Facility in Alden. Attorney Norm Effman represented Weinstein remotely from his office.

Ithaca attorney Elizabeth Aherne announced her candidacy for the New York State Supreme Court Sixth Judicial District election that will take place next fall.
The Sixth Judicial District encompasses all of Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison, Otsego, Schuyler, Tioga and Tompkins counties.
The vacancy in this office will be created by the pending retirement of Tompkins County-based State Supreme Court Justice Robert C. Mulvey. Like Mulvey, Aherne is a Republican.
For the past 12 years, Aherne has owned and operated her own private law practice in Ithaca, New York. She handles cases involving a wide range of law including custody, divorce, wills, trusts and estates, business, real property, and personal injury law.
