New York State Republicans in the Assembly and Senate have announced a pair of resolutions aimed at overturning current mandates issued by Governor Andrew Cuomo for restaurants statewide. The group wants to put an end to the 11 p.m. curfew for restaurants and bars, as well as the requirement for customers to order food when purchasing alcohol. Both mandates are in effect under Executive Orders from Gov. Cuomo.

Pennsylvania s governor announced Monday that outside of Philly on Easter Sunday, you ll be able to order alcohol without food in Pennsylvania bars and restaurants for the first time in a long time.  Tuesday, the New York State Restaurant Association is asking for some relatively new alcohol rules to stay in place here. Alcohol to-go was one of the first executive orders that the governor put in place after restaurants were shut down a year ago today, says Melissa Fleischut, president and CEO of the New York State Restaurant Association

Kevin Dugan of the New York State Restaurant Association will present newly released guidance on larger events, effective March 15. A Q&A will take place after the event. This presentation is limited to 100 attendees. People will receive call-in information after registering. A recording of the webinar will be available online after the event. The program is free for members and costs $5 for nonmembers, but participants are asked to consider a contribution to help the chamber offset programming costs.
