(Shutterstock) LONG ISLAND, NY Long Island home prices hit historic highs in 2020, which is great news for real estate agents and people selling their homes, but not so much for prospective home buyers. The median sale price for homes on Long Island in 2020 was $515,000, up from $475,000 in 2019, according to OneKey MLS, the largest real estate listing service in New York. It was the first time in the more than 40-year history of the service that the median sale price for Long Island homes topped $500,000. The data includes home sales in Nassau County, Suffolk County and Queens.
