The primary goal of the law is to eliminate 100% of climate pollution caused by humans. It calls for an 85% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, with an interim target of 40% by 2030. The Climate Action Council includes stakeholders from science, academia, the environmental community, agriculture, the energy sector and more. Doreen Harris – who has spent more than a decade with NYSERDA – has been leading the agency since June 2020 following the departure of Alicia Barton. Share Innovation and Commercialization Initiative Seeks Proposals to Build a World-Class, Self-Sustaining Ecosystem of Carbon-To-Value Research, Technology Transfer, and Commercialization    WYSIWYG Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced $10 million to launch the Carbontech Development Initiative, a program to establish New York State as a world-class hub of carbon-to-value research, technology transfer and commercialization.
