Joseph A. Materna, a lawyer and a man who loved family, dies from Covid. He was 73.

Joseph Anthony Materna, Esq., of Prince’s Bay, a noted Staten Island attorney known as much for his love of family as his legal expertise, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, after a short and aggressive battle with Covid-19. He was 73 and died in Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan.
He was surrounded by his wife, Dolores, daughters Jodi Marie (son-in-law Tad Davis), Jennifer, and Janine. He and his wife just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary Dec. 14.
Mr. Materna achieved many accomplishments in life but beamed when he was recognized by Columbia University as the first alumnus of Columbia College in its history who had three daughters who also graduated from Columbia College.

YouTube has indefinitely suspended Donald Trump from its platform and also barred his lawyer Rudy Giuliani from being able to monetize his content.
The Google-owned social media behemoth imposed a temporary ban on Trump s channel two weeks ago, depriving his 3 million subscribers of content in light of the ongoing potential for violence.
It joined a raft of Silicon Valley heavyweights in censoring Trump for the Capitol riot over allegations that he fomented the deadly insurrection .
YouTube said said separately that Trump s lawyer Rudy Giuliani had also been taken off its Partner Program - which allows creators to make money off their videos.

Jan. 25 (UPI) Election hardware and software maker Dominion Voting Systems sued Rudolph Giuliani, former President Donald Trump s lead campaign attorney, in federal court on Monday over claims of fraud he made about the company after the 2020 presidential election.
Dominion, which was the subject of numerous false claims of voter fraud by Trump and his campaign, filed the 107-page complaint in the District of Columbia District Court.
