Indian Navy deploys its medical personnel to Covid-19 facilities

The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the chief of the Naval staff Monday to discuss initiatives taken by the Navy to help with the second wave of Covid-19.
The Navy has deployed its medical personnel to hospitals across the country. Naval Personnel are being provided Battle Field Nursing Assistant Training to augment medical personnel deployed in Covid hospitals, read the statement.
The Navy is also assisting in the transport of oxygen containers as well as other supplies from Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Singapore to India.

The CDC has announced that 100 million Americans have now received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky made the announcement Friday, adding that around 55 percent of America’s adult population has received at least one dose.

New York City is nearly ready to open and smaller theaters may get the chance to open their doors shortly after.
Mayor Bill de Blasio appeared on MSNBC Thursday and said he expects the city to fully reopen on July 1. Smaller theaters in the city will be part of that timeline, which also includes stores, offices and other businesses.
The mayor, however, said visitors looking for a return to Broadway may have to hold off until the fall. He told MSNBC he is holding to his original timeline, which calls for Broadway to reopen at full capacity in September.
