The president of the National Border Patrol Council says Kamala Harris is avoiding the migrant surge out of political concerns. If she goes to the U.S. border, people are going to expect her to fix the problem, so she avoids it, says Brandon Judd.

Since being tasked with leading the Biden administration’s strategy to deal with what the White House now acknowledges is a “crisis” at America’s southern border, Vice President Kamala Harris has yet to visit the region. But she will be coming to New Hampshire on Friday, according to WMUR.

Di Lothrop, vice chair of the Nashua Republican City Committee, is comfortable dealing with controversy.
Tasked with booking speakers for the party’s events, she once chose former Sheriff Joe Arpaio for the annual fundraiser. She recalls the throng of protesters outside, infuriated by Arpaio’s hard-right stance on immigration and accusations of police misconduct under his watch.
Her annual fundraiser this August, a “steak out” at a Marriott in Nashua, will almost certainly be similarly charged: its keynote speaker is Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).

SOLDATI: Yeah, I think that our party has really grown a lot over the last several years, decades. And we recognize that there are so many voices within our party that I really think have common shared goals, whether the sort of specific goals of electing Democratic majorities in our state House or state Senate - to the top of the ticket, to advancing very real policy objectives that improve the lives and the lived experience of folks, no matter where they live in New Hampshire.
