CONCORD, NH Nearly all of Concord School District students will be moved to remote learning this week, according to Kathleen Murphy, the district s interim school superintendent.
The decision was made Tuesday to move the remaining schools in the SAU 8 district to remote learning due to the number of quarantined teachers, administrators, and students, and the lack of education staffing to teach children in the classroom, she said. Broken Ground Elementary School will move to remote learning on Wednesday while Christa McAuliffe Elementary School will change learning models Thursday. Concord Regional Technical Center students will also move to remote Thursday.

CONCORD A former Fortune 500 executive from Sunapee who drove across the median on Interstate 89 in Lebanon seven years ago, killing a pregnant woman and her fiancé, has been granted parole following an emotional hearing Thursday.
CONCORD â A federal outside review will conclude that plans and procedures were properly followed to control the COVID-19 outbreak at the Veterans Home in Tilton that infected 168 residents and staff and killed 28, Gov. Chris Sununu said Thursday.
The Department of Veterans Affairs Committee inspection team sent 17 staff at the governorâs request, including the national director of its infection control team.
The group will do a follow-up report that analyzes all the homeâs practices in dealing with the outbreak, the governor said.
âThe federal VA will do an outside review. COVID could come in any number of ways. This is to make sure we have the right processes and procedures internally,â Sununu said.
The National Guard has been called in to help as the COVID-19 outbreak continues to spread rapidly at the New Hampshire State Prison for Men in Concord.
