NEW HANOVER COUNTY ââ The New Hanover County Sheriffâs Office and District Attorney Ben David offered no new information Wednesday in a roughly 9-minute press conference regarding Saturdayâs double homicide with connections to TRU Colors, a local brewing company that employs active gang members.
Instead, the officials brought out the victimsâ grieving families and pleaded for anyone with information to come forward. In partnership with Crime Stoppers, the sheriffâs office announced a $3,000 reward for any tips that may lead to an arrest.

WILMINGTON Molson Coors released a statement Monday in response to the double homicide that took place in the Providence Road area at the home of George Taylor III, TRU Colors Brewing chief operating officer. The global brand, which has a distribution partnership with TRU Colors, noted it stands in solidarity with the Wilmington brewery.
“We are deeply saddened by this weekend’s tragedy, and have been in contact with George Taylor and the Tru Colors team,” the statement noted. “We have passed along our condolences to the families of the victims and remain as committed as ever to TRU Colors and their mission.”
