As a smart battery swap system enabled by software defined cloud computing, NIO Power Swap Station 2.0 is the world’s first mass-produced battery swap station that allows the vehicle to manoeuvre into the station automatically. Each NIO Power Swap Station 2.0 has 239 sensors and four collaborating cloud computing systems that maximise the application of visual recognition technologies. Enabled by the technology, users can complete a self-service battery swap with only one click while staying in the car. The system is capable of completing up to 312 battery swaps per day, significantly improving swapping efficiency.

Honda is to introduce its first energy service for Europe with the debut of its domestic intelligent charging solution - ‘e:PROGRESS’ – in the UK.
e:PROGRESS is the most comprehensive and innovative home charging solution from an automotive manufacturer in Europe. At its heart lies a connected charger, and advanced intelligent software developed by smart charging and aggregation specialist, Moixa. The software sets a charging schedule to ensure the car is always adequately charged when it’s needed based on the requirements of the owner, while optimising the use of low-price clean energy.

The new JV brings together DEME Offshore’s marine engineering knowledge and decades of experience in the renewables sector, with the highly specialised marine construction technology of Penta-Ocean. The partners are currently in the process of establishing the Joint Venture company, whereby 51 percent of the shares will be owned by Penta-Ocean and 49 percent by DEME Offshore.
