Gujarat`s Kutch to get India`s largest renewable energy generation park
Gujarat s Kutch district will become the home of India s largest renewable energy generation park. This park will come up with a generation capacity of 30 gigawatts (GW). The park expected to be fully operational in the next five years. The foundation stone of Hybrid Renewable Energy Park near Vighakot village in Gujarat s Kutch district will be laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.
The Renewable Energy Park will be spread over 72,600 hectares, and have dedicated zones for wind and solar energy storage as well as an exclusive zone for wind park activities. Harnessing its vast coastline, Gujarat is taking a significant step to transform seawater to potable drinking water with the upcoming desalination plant at Mandvi, Kutch.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday unveiled various developmental projects in Gujarat. These projects include a desalination plant, a hybrid renewable energy park, and a fully automated milk processing and packing plant. The Chief Minister of Gujarat was present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said one has to keep up with the changing times and embrace global best practices. He lauded the farmers in Kutch in this regard, as they are now exporting fruits abroad. He said this indicates the innovative zeal of our farmers. He said the agriculture, dairy and fisheries sectors have prospered in Gujarat over the last two decades due to minimum interference from the Government. What Gujarat did was to empower farmers and cooperatives.

New Delhi [India], December 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Dhordo in Kutch, Gujarat on December 15 and lay the foundation stone of several development projects in the State, the Prime Minister s Office (PMO) said on Monday.
According to a statement by the PMO, these projects include a desalination plant, a hybrid renewable energy park, and a fully automated milk processing and packing plant. Chief Minister of Gujarat will be present on the occasion. Prime Minister Modi will also undertake a visit to the White Rann, followed by witnessing a cultural programme.
