States » EastPosted at: Apr 10 2021 10:03AM L&T Construction secures (Major) Green EPC Order to establish one of the World’s Largest Solar PV Plants by Capacity Kolkata, Apr 10 (UNI) The Renewables arm of Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution Business has secured a turnkey EPC Contract, from the consortium of ACWA Power and the Water and Electricity Holding Company (a subsidiary of the Public Investments Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF)), for Sudair Solar PV Project of 1.5GW capacity. This project is considered the largest Solar Plant in Saudi Arabia with PPA signed. It is also one of the largest such plants in the world.

L&T wins EPC contract for Acwa s 1.5GW Saudi solar project RIYADH, 6 hours, 39 minutes ago India s top engineering and construction conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said its renewables arm has secured a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for Sudair Solar PV Project with a 1.5GW capacity.    The contract was awarded by a consortium of Acwa Power and the Water and Electricity Holding Company - a subsidiary of the Public Investments Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) - to L&T Power Transmission & Distribution Business.   Coming up in Riyadh Province over a 30.8 sq km area, the Sudair Solar PV project is said to be the largest solar plant in the kingdom.

Masdar consortium to start work on 300MW Saudi project ABU DHABI, 4 hours, 18 minutes ago Abu Dhabi-based Masdar said its consortium with global renewable energy leader EDF Renewables, is set to start construction work on a 300-megawatt utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant in Jeddah following its financial close with Nesma Company.   The Renewable Energy Project Development Office (Repdo) of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy had awarded the consortium the Jeddah project, after it had submitted the most cost-competitive bid of SR60.9042 ($16.24) per megawatt hour.    It also signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) this January for the project.
