Biofuels - Neste Supplies DHL Express with SAF at San Francisco International Airport - Renewable Energy Magazine, at the heart of clean energy journalism

Neste has signed an agreement to supply SAF to DHL Express, the express service arm of Deutsche Post DHL Group, a leading mail and logistics company. Through this agreement Neste has commenced supply of sustainable aviation fuel with immediate effect to DHL Express at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Courtesy of DHL Earlier this year Neste established a continuous supply of sustainable aviation fuel to SFO. Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel TM has been made available for all commercial, cargo, business and private aviation operators at SFO, with commitments in place to use SAF from major commercial and business airlines. This deal will see DHL Express become the first cargo operator to use Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel on flights departing from SFO and will enable them to contribute to their climate protection target to reduce all logistics-related emissions to zero by the year 2050 .

Shell Aviation to supply DHL Express with SAF December 18, 2020 DHL 777 Freighter Delivery Cruise, Ribbon Cuttiing & Flyaway Shell Aviation has announced an agreement to supply DHL Express with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at Schiphol Airport. The deal sees DHL Express become the first customer to be supplied under Shell and Neste’s SAF supply agreement, announced in September 2020. The agreement will enable DHL Express to take regular flights using SAF, an important step forward in its ambition of reducing all logistics-related emissions to zero by 2050. The volume of SAF being supplied by Shell Aviation represents a full year of DHL Express’s fuel requirements from Schiphol Airport, helping to reduce its emissions from this European hub. The SAF will be used in blended form and is made from sustainably sourced, renewable waste and residue raw materials.
