Did they expect such a success when they introduced the first generation of the Nissan Rogue? Hard to believe. Why did they call it the “Rogue”, anyway? Probably, they were trying to bring a suggestion of freedom and noncompliance in the picture, otherwise the concept of this compact SUV is anything but rogue. And, in the form of the third generation, it has evolved promisingly.

The 2021 Infiniti QX50 crossover ranges from $37,950-$56,850, plus freight and options.
Just last year, Infiniti added two upscale trim levels to its five-passenger QX50 crossover lineup, building on the model that has become one of the brand’s best-selling vehicles.
The new trims are the Sensory, which begins at $50,000, and the top-of-the-line Autograph, which starts at $54,200.
For this report, we got our first look at the Sensory model. While front-wheel drive is standard, our tester came with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, which added $2,000 to the sticker price. This option is available for that price on all QX50 versions except the Autograph, on which it’s $2,650 extra.

To be an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ winner, a vehicle needs to earn top marks in six different crashworthiness tests. In addition to acing these trials, it needs to offer a front crash prevention system that’s been graded as “advanced” or “superior” in trials that test both its vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian accident mitigation technology. The vehicle also needs to earn “good” or “acceptable” rating across all models.
