Travel Advisory for U.S. Citizens April 08, 2021 Do not travel to Kenya due to  COVID-19. Exercise increased caution in Kenya due to  crime, terrorism, health issues, and kidnapping. Some areas have increased risk. Read the entire Travel Advisory. Read the Department of State’s COVID-19 page before you plan any international travel. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 4 Travel Health Notice for Kenya due to COVID-19.      International flights are still operating, though limited. Internal flights are restricted, and road and rail transportation are limited geographically and by curfew. The Department continues to proactively communicate travel advice and warnings to U.S. citizens amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The U.S. Embassy in Cambodia is closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and its impact on American residents throughout the country. The Government of Cambodia has indicated that it will make vaccines available to foreign residents as part of its “National Vaccination Master Plan.”  It has not yet released details of this plan.  We will continue to advocate with the Government of Cambodia that American citizens in the Kingdom have an opportunity to get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity.

If you are hoping or planning to take a trip abroad anytime soon, please be advised about some important information and guidance regarding passport applications and renewals as well as certain foreign country requirements. First, if you are planning to apply for a passport or renew an expiring one, you might experience significant delays due to application backlogs caused by the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, routine passport applications could take up to 12 weeks or longer to process and even expedited passport processing could take four to six weeks.

(Updated) country-wide measures: Following the recommendation of the Government of Serbia, the following additional measures are in effect from April 5: All businesses and services that are permitted to operate may do so from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Cafes, bars, and restaurants with gardens and patios may operate only outdoors with strict observation of all epidemiological measures, including a limit of five people per table with a mandatory two-meter distance between tables. Live music performances in gardens and patios are not allowed.
