Health Alert: Serbia, Foreigners Seeking to Enter Must Provide Negative PCR Test

9,499 hospitalized cases.
Starting Sunday, December 20, the Serbian Government is reporting that foreigners seeking to enter Serbia,
U.S. citizens included, will need to provide a negative PCR test, issued within the previous 48 hours.
These measures are reported to not apply to several categories of travelers, including:
Foreign citizens in transit, with 12 hours allowed between entry to and exit from Serbia.
Alert – U.S. Embassy Santo Domingo (December 15)
Location: Dominican Republic
Beginning December 16, the government of the Dominican Republic has issued a curfew for the National District and the provinces of Santo Domingo, Santiago, Duarte, La Vega, and Puerto Plata from
Monday through Sunday from 7:00pm to 5:00am, with allowance for transit until 9:00pm. For December 24 and 31, the curfew hours will be from 7:00pm to 5:00am, with allowance for transit until 1:00am December 25 and January 1. Full details can be found at https://presidencia.gob.do/

There is a Level 3 Travel Advisory recommending U.S. citizens reconsider travel to the Dominican Republic due to health and safety measures and COVID-19-related conditions.
The U.S. Department of State has no greater responsibility than the safety and security of U.S. citizens overseas. The Department continues to proactively communicate travel advice and warnings to U.S. citizens amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of our efforts to give U.S. citizens timely information so that they can make informed choices about travel abroad, the Department advises that the United States Government does not plan to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to private U.S. citizens overseas. U.S. citizens traveling or residing overseas should follow host country developments and guidelines for COVID-19 vaccination.
U.S. citizens abroad should also register for the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP.state.gov) so they can receive important messages from their nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate, including timely Alerts and updates to Travel Advisories.
Security Alert: Niger, Closure of Borders on December 13 Due to Elections
Event: The Government of Niger announced the closure of its air, land, and river borders for Sunday, December 13, 2020 due to elections. The borders closed just for the elections are scheduled to reopen the following day, December 14, 2020. The same measures may be taken for the other upcoming elections on December 27, 2020 and February 21, 2021.
