The City of Plainview is accepting applications for several boards within city government. The board accepting applicants include: Zoning Board of Adjustment, Building Trades/Fire Code Board of Appeals, Parks Advisory Board, Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of Health. Sacred Heart Catholic Church will host an advent penance on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in the gym, cafeteria and CCE building. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is set for 5:30-8 p.m. Those interested in attending are asked to practice social distancing and wear a mask.
William N. âBillâ Jennewein, age 75 of Yankton, SD passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton from complications of the COVID-19 virus.
A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Yankton with the Rev. Fr. Larry Regynski as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery with military honors accorded by Ernest Bowyer VFW Post #791 Honor Guard and SDARNG Honor Guard.
Visitation will be 4 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15 at Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory in Yankton, with masks required and social distancing practices to be observed. There will also be visitation for one hour prior to service time at the church on Wednesday.
