New Delhi: With the government on March 2 allowing all private hospitals with adequate facilities to administer COVID-19 vaccine doses, the vaccination drive has seen a big jump in the last two days. The union ministry of health and family welfare in its order had asked states and UTs to utilise 100 per cent capacities of private hospitals functioning as COVID vaccination centres (CVCs). In a significant achievement, 10.93 lakh vaccine doses were given to beneficiaries till 7 pm on March 4 and while close to 10 lakhs were given on Wednesday.
During a trip to Dhaka Thursday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said water secretaries from both sides will be meeting soon to discuss the issue in greater detail.
