Several days after the urban development department sought an impact report from the civic body regarding the inclusion of these villages into the city limits, the Maharashtra government has provided its approval. Once these villages are part of the civic body’s limits, Pune’s boundary would stretch from 331 sq. km. to 485 sq. km. Eknath Shinde, Minister for Urban Development on December 15 signed a directive allowing the way for the inclusion.

However, PMRDA stated that it has already paid out the amount that PMC supplied to it. Similarly, representatives of the Medbros agency running the facility also claimed that they have cleared dues and will resolve any further issues as well.
