Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Sheety starrer Uppena is going to hit the theatres on 12th February 2021. The movie is touted to be a romantic drama written and directed by Bucchi Babu Sana, a former assistant of Sukumar.
The Arya director bankrolled the movie in collaboration with Naveen Yerenini and Y. Ravi Shankar, under their respective banners Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi played a prominent role in the flick. We all know that he is one of the most talented stars in the south Indian film industry. He lives in each and every role and makes audience go gaga over his performance. Words fall short to praise his acting skills.
Rs 30 Cr Pre-release Business for Uppena:- Uppena is one small film that caught everyone s attention after the release of the music album. Sai Dharam Tej s brother Vaisshnav Tej is making his debut as the lead actor with this romantic entertainer and Krithi Shetty is the heroine. Sukumar s protege Buchi Babu is making his debut as the director and the film completed all the formalities long ago. The movie was aimed for release last year but it was pushed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The film also received OTT offers but the makers rejected the deals.
The makers now closed all the theatrical deals. The movie is made on a budget of Rs 24 crores and the non-theatrical rights fetched Rs 10 crores. The theatrical rights of the film are now closed for Rs 20 crores which is huge for a small film that features new faces.
