SUNRISE, Fla. – Two agents were shot and killed and three wounded while serving a warrant at a Sunrise home Tuesday morning, the FBI confirmed Tuesday morning. After barricading himself in the home for several hours, the suspected gunman is believed to have shot and killed himself, one law-enforcement source said.
Sunrise police said the suspect, a man suspected of child pornography possession, had holed up in his home at an apartment complex at 10100 Reflections Blvd. West. Nob Hill Road is closed in both directions from Northwest 44th Street to Oakland Park Boulevard.

Maaz Malik stood at the perimeter of a crime scene Tuesday, wondering what was happening. I heard there was a shooting, Malik said. I knew something was going on.
He didn t know who got shot or who was doing the shooting. But eventually, word spread throughout his Sunrise neighborhood. I didn t realize that it would be two FBI (agents), he said.

The agents were attempting to serve a search warrant at an apartment complex. The vast majority of these warrants occur without incident, Special Agent in Charge George Piro said.
At one point Wednesday, a large motorcade arrived at the scene with FBI Director Christopher Wray in tow. Wray toured the scene with several officials.
The FBI agents were at the complex serving a court-ordered federal search warrant for a violent crimes against children investigation when the suspect opened fire, hitting five agents, FBI officials said.
Special Agents Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger were shot and killed. Two other agents were shot multiple times and taken to Broward Health Medical Center in stable condition, while the other agent was treated at the scene.
