FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A father of four died a year ago on Thursday in Broward County and detectives had yet to find the gunmen who fled in a silver Toyota Tacoma.
Caleb Fields, 40, was shot in the 800 block of Northwest 22nd Road in Fort Lauderdale. He died at the Broward Health Medical Center.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A 6-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy remained hospitalized on Tuesday, as detectives continued their search for the shooters who recently targeted a crowd during a block party in Fort Lauderdale. A man was also injured, but doctors released him, police said.
A shooter’s bullet hit the girl’s arm and ruptured a major artery on Sunday night, a relative said. Detectives believe several shooters fired more than 50 rounds from semi-automatic rifles and handguns.
“People shot! People and kids! A lot of shots going on,” a man said during a 911 call.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A 6-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy and a man were injured in a Sunday night shooting during a block party in Fort Lauderdale, police said on Monday.
According to Detective Ali Adamson, a spokeswoman for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, the shooting was about 9:45 p.m. on Sunday outside of Tony’s Market at 800 NW 22 Rd.
Detectives believe several shooters fired more than 50 rounds from semi-automatic rifles and handguns. As a result of the gunfire, ShotSpotter technology issued several alerts, police said.

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A man was injured during a suspected road rage shooting on Thursday afternoon in Pembroke Pines. Officers are searching for the gunman who was driving a gray or silver Lexus sports utility vehicle.
Symmonia Hobbs said she heard four to five gunshots while she was working at a nearby Jiffy Lube. She said traffic along Pines Boulevard near Northwest 84th Avenue came to a stop.
“Once I heard the shots . I saw a car in the middle of the street and there was a bystander or passenger, or another car that pulled over, and they were standing over a body that was in the middle of the street,” Hobbs said.
Within seconds, Ayala says he pulled down his pants and started masturbating while staring at her and her daughter.
“I just turned around, and I don’t know what to do,” the mother said. “I felt my legs shaking.”
Ayala says her daughter was so upset, she threw up then called 911.
“The females were scared at that point,” said Lieutenant Mike Santiago with Lauderhill Police Department.
Santiago says Ayala and her daughter were protected by the glass wall between the ATM and the rest of the bank.
“They were definitely in fear although there was a glass partition there,” Santiago said. “They couldn’t believe what they were actually experiencing at the time.”
