Islamabad, May 4 : At least 13 people were killed and 25 others injured in a road accident in Attock district of Pakistan s eastern Punjab province on Monday evening, rescue officials and local media said.
Officials from the Rescue 1122 told media that a passenger bus overturned near Burhan Interchange at the motorway in Hassan Abdal area of the district, leaving 13 people dead and 25 others injured, the Xinhua news agency reported.
Rescue personnel and police rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and the injured to a hospital in Hassan Abdal.

HASSAN ABDAL (Dunya News) – A bus traveling from Lahore to Mardan overturned near Burhan Interchange due to overspeeding, killing 12 passengers and injuring 25 others as a result.
As soon as the accident was reported, rescue teams rushed to the spot and started rescue operations.
Rescue officials say the dead included a woman and a young girl. Motorway police and rescue teams are on the scene and rescue operations are underway. Passengers with severe injuries are being shifted to Rawalpindi.
